Clare Waight Keller nommée directrice artistique de Givenchy
Après quelques semaines de suspense et nombre de spéculations, Givenchy vient d’annoncer la nomination de Clare Waight Keller à la tête de sa direction artistique.

Le 2 mai prochain, Clare Waight Keller rejoindra les équipes créatives de la maison parisienne et présentera sa première collection lors de la Fashion Week printemps-été 2018 qui se tiendra en septembre à Paris.
À la tête de la direction artistique de Chloé pendant six ans, l’Anglaise y a développé une attitude faisant l’unanimité en mixant avec brio styles boyish, sportswear et romantique, ainsi qu’en proposant des collections d’accessoires hautement désirables à l’image des sacs Drew ou des bagues et charms Alphabet.
Succédant à l’Italien Riccardo Tisci, Clare Waight Keller devient la première femme à la tête de la création de la maison fondée en 1952 par Hubert de Givenchy et détenue depuis 1988 par le groupe LVMH. “Le style plein d’assurance d’Hubert de Givenchy a toujours été pour moi une inspiration et je suis très reconnaissante d’avoir l’opportunité de faire partie de cette maison légendaire. Il me tarde de travailler avec les équipes et d’écrire un nouveau chapitre dans cette magnifique histoire”, a commenté la créatrice.

On May 2nd Clare Waight Keller will join creative teams at the Parisian fashion house and present her first collection during the Spring-Summer 2018 Paris Fashion Week in September.
As head of artistic direction at Chloé for six years the English woman developed a much acclaimed attitude brilliantly mixing a boyish style with sportswear and a certain romanticism, as well as offering a highly desirable collection of accessories featuring the Drew bags and the Alphabet charm rings.
Following the footsteps of Italian designer Riccardo Tisci, Clare Waight Keller is the first woman to head up creation at this house founded in 1952 by Hubert de Givenchy and held by the LVMH group since 1988. “The confident style of Hubert de Givenchy has always been a great source of inspiration for me and I am incredibly pleased to be given this opportunity to become part of this legendary house. I can’t wait to start working with the teams and write a new chapter in this magnificent story,” the designer says.
