Max Mara combines workwear and elegance for its spring-summer 2022 collection

After presenting a 2022 cruise collection inspired by the golden age of travel, Max Mara unveils its spring-summer 2022 collection as a tribute to the writer Françoise Sagan. If Ian Griffiths, creative director of the Italian house, was inspired by the first novel of the Frenchwoman, Bonjour Tristesse, to imagine this collection, he wanted above all to reinterpret the style of the woman of letters. On the program: a sophisticated wardrobe in natural colors (sometimes punctuated with bright orange), and composed mainly of the great classics of workwear, such as fisherman’s blouses, work jackets or denim ensembles.
